The Op-Ed chart from the New York Times in 2010, "Picturing the Past 10 Years,” was not only fascinating to read, but was one of the first infographics I wanted to imitate.

I have led students in this work many times since. There are two samples from drafts I completed with students. We chose moments from our charts to write about in our notebooks.
